For one thing, British tea culture inspired Aino and Alvar Aalto to design their tea trolley, having come to appreciate the high art of tea on their many travels. The other inspiration they drew from were Japanese woodworks and architecture, which both of them were big fans of.
First internationally seen at the world fair in Paris in 1937, this rolling eye-catcher is a traditional, functional piece of furniture, which can accompany you from the breakfast table, to tea time, to cocktail hour – ever so versatile, charming and full of character.
