In the 20th century, the Danish silversmith Kay Bojesen created his lovely wooden animals. His idea was to fashion fanciful, effortless animals, basing his design in children’s imagination in order to create a world of fun and play.With their soul, humor, and a twinkle in the eye, the Kay Bojesen wooden animals are popular with young and old to this day.
The wooden animals are inspired by Bojesen’s own family and friends, with Georg carrying the name of Kay Bojesen’s teacher and mentor.
