Wall Lamp AJ Eklipta
In 1959, Arne Jacobsen designed the model AJ Eklipta for the city hall in Rødovre, producing two sizes with a diameter of 350 mm and 450 mm, respectively. They were used in stairways and outside areas as wall lamps. A later version with a 220 mm diameter was developed for St. Catherine’s College at Oxford. For stairways, Jacobsen always preferred the largest version.
The shade is made of mouth-blown white opaline glass.
