If the Jet Age in Denmark looked like the SAS Royal Hotel, it must have been quite chic: In 1955, the Scandinavian airline SAS hired Arne Jacobsen to design a hotel including its interior in the center of Copenhagen. In this context, the AJ Royal Lamp was born, perfectly complimenting Jacobsen’s Gesamtkunstwerk with its shimmering hemisphere.
The AJ Royal also shines bright at home and manages to accent any place in need of soft, glare-free light: above the dinner table, in the kitchen, or, like in the SAS Royal Hotel, above the workstation.
The AJ Royal is available in the original size with a diameter of 50 cm, as well as a smaller size, both in white wet-lacquered aluminium and steel.
