Scented Candle Madurai “Les Belles Matières” by Trudon
The first person to bring jasmine to Europe was the duke of Tuscany after a trip to India in 1690 – a flower with origins in Arabia. Whether in its fresh or dried form, jasmine plays a key role in the myths, legends and daily rituals of India. Loose tea is often enriched with the scent of Arabian jasmine, jasmine flowers are often braided into flower necklaces.
During spiritual practices, these fragrant blossoms are included as offerings in Hindu temples.
