Nymphenburg Elephant Edward

Elephant
August Göhring, 1936
Porzellanmanufaktur Nymphenburg

In many African and Asian cultures, elephants symbolize fortune and prosperity. In Thai culture, for instance, small elephant figurines are positioned near windows, so that they may invite fortune inside. With his happy, welcoming face, we find August Göhring’s Elephant Edward exceptionally apt for this task!

Elephant Edward is hand made from bisque porcelain and is available in black or white. We will be happy to provide consulting in our showroom with regard to this unique piece.
