Hans J. Wegner found the inspiration for the CH36 in the 19th century Shaker furniture, which today is widely regarded as a key contribution to architecture and design. A simple form and elaborate technical details like tapered legs and a hand-woven seat add the CH36 to this tradition and translate it effortlessly into the 21st century.
