In 1958, Arne Jacobsen designed the Swan Chair, just like the famous Egg Chair, for the lobby of the Hotel Royal in central Copenhagen. Conceptualizing the entire interior for the hotel, Arne Jacobsen was given the opportunity of putting his principle into practice, integrating design and architecture.
The Swan Chair was a novelty in 1958, technologically speaking: no straight lines, just curves. A synthetic shell atop of a pivotable five-star base made from satin-polished aluminum, upholstered with a layer of cold foam as well as fabric or leather.
At Falkenberg, we offer the Swan Chair in every available version – please do not hesitate to inquire about the styles available (e.g. in leather or the fabric groups Hallingdal, Divina or Comfort).
We will be happy to provide consultation with regard to the options available and will be happy to help you find the optimal solution for your living space. Please know that we also offer fabric samples upon request.
