“My intention is not to replicate natural objects but to capture some essential quality. By simplifying and abstracting and making forms in different materials it is, at times, possible to spark a revelation in the viewer.”, says industrial designer Ted Muehling about his approach to design. He indeed manages to enchant us with the moon snail bowl and its graceful, translucent and soothing beauty.
