Pelican Chair
As migratory birds, pelicans do prefer warm climes. Like being inside an apartment in form of a chair.
In the year of its creation, 1940, Finn Juhl’s Pelican Chair was received as somewhat of an avant-garde curiosity and left some of Juhl’s contemporaries bewildered. Therefore, the Pelican Chair was almost forgotten, until One Collection simply fell in love with it in 2001 and relaunched it. The Pelican Chair may still seem avant-garde today by strikingly embodying Finn Juhl’s radical design principle: “a chair is not just a product of decorative art in a space, it is a form and a space in itself.”
The Pelican Chair is available with or without buttons, as well as with legs made of walnut, oak or the black-stained variety. It may be upholstered with a variety of textiles and leathers. We will be happy to provide further consultation with regard to choosing the perfect model for your home.
