A design, breaking with known design principles: in order to evoke a billowy, inviting appearance, Hans J. Wegner had the CH162/163’s cushions filled with downs – which gave the series its nickname ‘Down Cushion Sets’. The feathery lightness of the cushions creates a fascinating contrast to the angular frame. Hans J. Wegner said in 1965: A sofa for the modern living room. We say: A successful liaison of function and finesse.
This two- or three-seater is available with a frame made of oak, Walnut and may be soaped, varnished, or oiled and may be upholstered with a variety of textiles or leathers. The cushions are made from a mix of European down and flame-retardant cold foam.
